Who is responsible
Ligō Solutions is the consulting practice of David Lachapelle, M. Sc., CHRP. I am the person responsible for the protection of personal information under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

How I collect information
- The contact form on this site.
- The emails you send me directly.
- Browsing cookies, which you accept or decline on your first visit. The settings panel stays available at all times.
Information collected
When you write to me, I receive your name, your email address, the subject and the content of your message. I use them to reply to you and to act on your request.
If you accept measurement cookies, I also receive technical information: your truncated IP address, the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit, and the path that brought you here. It tells me which pages are read and how visitors find the site. I do not try to identify anyone and I build no visitor profile.
The site works exactly the same way if you decline cookies. No feature is withheld and no content is hidden. You can also write to me or call me without using the form.
Cookies and your consent
No cookie is placed before you agree to it. Audience measurement and advertising are off by default.
- Audience measurement runs through Google Analytics and produces the technical information described above.
- Advertising makes it possible to show ads to people who have already visited the site. It stays off until you accept it.
CookieYes records your choice. You can change it at any time through the settings button at the bottom of every page.
Who has access to your information
I do, and no one else. Ligō Solutions is a one-person practice. There is no team, no customer service desk and no subcontractor reading your messages.
Four providers process information on my behalf for technical purposes.
- Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. It processes the IP address of each visit to deliver the pages and block attacks.
- Resend carries messages from the form to my inbox.
- Google hosts my inbox through Workspace and processes the technical information through Analytics. Its fonts load on every page, which passes your IP address to Google.
- CookieYes displays the banner and keeps the record of your choice.
Google Calendar and LinkedIn are only contacted if you click the corresponding links.
These four providers are established outside Quebec and process part of the information there. Their facilities are mainly in the United States. Write to me or call me directly if you would rather avoid that communication.
How long I keep it
Your messages stay in my inbox for as long as our exchange lasts. If an engagement follows, I keep them for the period my professional and tax obligations require. Otherwise I delete them. You can ask for their deletion at any time.
How I protect it
The site is served over HTTPS only. Security headers block code injection. The form stores nothing, so there is no database to compromise. My inbox is protected by the measures built into Google Workspace.
Your rights
You have the right to access the information I hold about you. You can have it corrected or updated, ask for its deletion and withdraw your consent.
Write to me at david@ligosolutions.ca to exercise these rights or to file a complaint. I reply within the thirty days the law provides. If my answer does not satisfy you, you can turn to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
